Beneficiary Designations

Turn your retirement assets into a legacy for wildlife and conservation.

Donating part or all of your unused retirement assets, such as your IRA, 401(k), 403(b), or other tax-deferred plan, is a great way to make a gift to Nashville Zoo.

There are many benefits to gifting retirement assets, including:

  • Simplifying your planning
  • Supporting the causes you care about
  • Retaining full use of your account as long as you need to
  • Allowing heirs to receive tax-advantaged assets from your estate
  • Receiving potential estate tax savings from an estate tax deduction

To make a gift of retirement assets, simply complete a beneficiary designation form from your retirement plan custodian. By designating Nashville Zoo as a beneficiary, we will receive the full value of your gift, as your retirement assets will not be taxed upon your passing. Additionally, your estate will benefit from a charitable deduction for the gift.
